Simon Kaulius has worked in the IT industry for over 10 years.  He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems as well as an MBA degree with a focus in Management and Marketing. 

He began his IT career as a Systems Administrator at the UIC Medical Center. There, he managed several servers and workstations, and provided technical support. He soon identified a need for custom software solutions that would serve to streamline operations.

Simon progressed into a dual role as a business systems analyst and application programmer. He performed extensive requirements gathering and documentation, followed by the design, testing, and implementation of several custom software solutions for the UIC Medical Center.

During that time Simon spent his weekends freelancing for several clients, providing them with graphic design and website solutions to meet their needs.

He later moved on to work as a full time IT Business Analyst / Project Manager. Recently, he has been involved in several Business Process Reengineering (BPR) projects in which he serves as either BA or PM.

Simon's current hobbies include writing smartphone applications for both WebOS (Palm Pre) and Android.
